형평운동의 유산을 통한 인권교육과 ESG 원칙의 통합 - 지속 가능한 시민성을 위한 윤리교육 모형 탐색 -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 형평운동의 윤리적 가치와 시대적 함의를 ESG(Environmental, Social, Governance) 원칙과 연 계하여 통합적인 윤리교육 모델로 확장하고자 한다. 형평운동은 한국 근현대사에서 가장 의미 있는 민권 운동 중 하나로, 공정성과 포용, 사회적 책임이라는 ESG의 사회 원칙과 긴밀하게 연결된다. 본 논문은 언 론 보도, 문학 작품, 지역사회 교육 실천, 디지털 콘텐츠 등을 통해 형평운동을 다층적으로 분석하고, 이를 기반으로 한 프로젝트형 학습, 지역사회 연계 활동, 문화 융합 콘텐츠를 통한 실천적 윤리교육 전략을 제 시한다. 그 결과, 형평운동은 단순한 역사 교육을 넘어 윤리적 시민 양성과 지속 가능한 사회를 위한 교육 자산으로 기능할 수 있으며, ESG 원칙을 내면화한 참여적 교육 모델을 정립하는 데 중요한 기초가 될 수 있음을 제시한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to reinterpret the ethical significance of the Hyeongpyeong Movement by integrating it with ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles, thereby proposing a transformative ethical education model. Originating in Jinju in 1923, the Hyeongpyeong Movement represents a milestone in Korea’s civil rights history, advocating for dignity, equality, and social justice. These values align closely with the Social and Governance aspects of ESG. Through an interdisciplinary analysis of media reports, literary works, community-based education, and digital content, this paper explores educational applications of the movement in project-based learning (PBL), community engagement, and cultural fusion. The study demonstrates that the Hyeongpyeong Movement can serve as a living curriculum for ethical education that fosters socially responsible, globally minded citizens. Integrating this movement with ESG principles offers a meaningful pathway toward sustainable and participatory civic education.
