This study aimed to extract the spatial characteristics of local roastery coffee shops, and the results are as follows; First, the space-planing elements of coffee shops are extracted by reviewing the precedent studies. Second, the characteristics are extracted by carrying out field research and Importance Performance Analysis(IPA). Thanks to the locational feature close to nature, the decks and terrace space are used as the elements of exterior space. The space for roasting is separated from the interior space of coffee shops and the space for roasting is an element of marketing. And also the IPA suggested that kitchens, finishing materials, and sculptures should be improved constantly, and that the facade design, design plan fitting for locals as space for roasting, and spatial plan connected to shops should be improved immediately. Furniture, logo designs, and color plans are the features that should be made up concretely at the earlier stage of design, and improved step by step.
