인적자원개발 관점에서 학습사회에 대한 논의 확장 탐색 = Exploring the Expansion of Research on the Learning Society from the Perspective of HRD

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 학습조직과 조직학습을 중심으로 인적자원개발 관점에서 학습사회에 대한 논의의 확장과 학습사회 구축을 위한 방법적 차원의 시사점을 제안하는데 있다. 평생교육영역에서 논의되어 온 학습사회의 모습은 크게 (1) 학습의 시간적․공간적 초월성 강조, (2) 평등을 기반으로 한 학습기회의 대중성 강조, 그리고 (3) 통합성에 기초하여 다양한 학습 지원 및 관리 그리고 평가체제 강조의 특징으로 요약된다. 본 연구는 평생교육영역에서 학습사회에 대한 논의 가운데 학습사회의 필요성 확장, 학습주체의 확장, 그리고 궁극적 산출물의 확장을 제안하고 이에 대한 가능성을 학습조직과 조직학습을 중심으로 인적자원개발 관점에서 탐색하였다. 인적자원개발 측면에서 학습사회는 학습의 사회적 총량과 학습의 관리 및 평가 등 학습의 강조를 넘어 사회의 변화와 혁신역량을 어느 정도 갖추고 있는가에 달려있다. 즉 학습사회란 인지적 유기체를 넘어 변화와 혁신의 역량을 갖춘 새로운 공유된 규범과 양식을 만들어가는 자기구성적 유기체로 보아야 한다. 끝으로 연구결과에 기초하여 몇 가지 학문적․실천적 함의를 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to draw an expanded picture of the learning society from the perspectives of the learning organization and organizational learning based on HRD. From the related literature review, three common characteristics about the concept of the learning society are emerged: (1) the transcendence regarding anytime and anywhere, (2) the popularity related with anyone based on equity, and (3) systems to support, manage, and evaluate lifelong learning based on coordination. Also the discourse about the learning society needs to be expanded from the three aspects including its necessity, entity, and ultimate outcome in the field of lifelong learning. To address these issues, some definitions and characteristics about the learning organization and organizational learning are adapted from the HRD field. In short, the learning society is depending on the extent to which our society possesses the reform capacity to effectively address unexpected environmental change beyond tons of discourses about how to increase the total amount of lifelong learning and how to manage and evaluate lifelong learning. Also, the learning society needs to be viewed as a self-organizing entity that makes new shared norms and behaviors beyond as a cognitive entity. Finally, some practical implications for building a learning society are introduced and some future research directions are discussed.
