A depth-averaged two-dimensional sediment transport model was applied to simulate the bed level changes before and after Woojeong sea-dike construction in Hwaong site. The model is a semi-coupled finite difference model that can be applied to rivers, reservoirs, lakes, estuaries, or coastal regions, and can simulate the transport of fine sand, silt, and clay. A prediction result of the numerical model showed that deposition occurs dominantly in the bed level changes due to sea-dike construction.
