詩經 번역서의 해석 양상 검토 및 현대적 해석 방법 모색 - 「鄭風․褰裳」을 중심으로 - = Examinations of Interpretation Aspects, And Seeking Modern Interpretation Methods, of The Book of Odes Translations - Focused on 「Zheng-feng(鄭風)․Qian-chang(褰裳)」 -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Most people agree with the value Chinese classics have and, accordingly, the necessity for an education and learning in Chinese classics is recognized. However, it is true that Chinese classics are still unfamiliar with modern people. This would be because of the prejudice and fact that the contents of Chinese classics is not fit for the value pursued by modern society and are written in difficult Chinese characters. But, the contents of Chinese classics looked into, there are lots of contents able to appeal to modern people morally, principally and emotionally. Therefore, to translate Chinese classics in an appropriate Korean, without damaging the real meaning of such contents as recorded in Chinese writings, and to interpret them in a variety of ways would be one of methods in which they become valuable from the modern viewpoint. This paper was written under such a problem consciousness.
In the main issues, the aspects of interpretation were analyzed by examining some of translations of The Book of Odes published in our country(Korea). In addition, interpretation of main annotators in the past was examined and at the same time, proposing a few methods of modern interpretation, thought of a new model of translated books. This is an attempt seeking for a method allowing modern people to have an easy access to Chinese classics, preserving the real meaning of Chinese classics in its entirety.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한문고전이 현대에 지니는 가치에 대해서는 다수가 동의하고 있으며, 이에 따라 한문고전 교육과 학습의 필요성이 인정되고 있다. 하지만 한문고전은 여전히 현대인들에게 거리감을 주고 있는 것이 현실이다. 이것은 한문고전의 내용이 현대사회가 추구하는 가치에 적합하지 않다는 편견, 그리고 어려운 漢文으로 기록되어 있다는 점 때문일 것이다. 그러나 한문고전의 내용을 살펴보면, 현대인들에게 이치적으로, 감정적으로, 도덕적으로 다가 갈 수 있는 내용이 많이 있다. 그러므로 漢文으로 기록된 이러한 내용들을 본뜻을 훼손하지 않으면서 적절한 우리말로 옮겨내고 이에 대한 다양한 방법의 해설을 진행하는 것이, 지금 시대에 한문고전이 가치를 지니게 하는 관건 중의 하나라고 하겠다. 본고는 이러한 문제의식에서 작성한 글이다.
본론에서는 한문고전 가운데 『詩經』을 선택하여, 우리나라에서 출판된 몇 종의 『詩經』 번역서의 내용을 검토하였다. 이는 『詩經』 번역서의 해석과 해설의 양상을 살펴보기 위함이었다. 이어서 『詩經』에 대한 역대 주요 주석가의 해석을 살펴봄으로써, 동일한 시편이 다양한 관점에서 해석될 수 있음과 각 주석에 따라 경문의 해석이 달라짐을 확인하였다. 또한 현대적 해석의 몇 가지 방법을 제시하여, 현대인들로 하여금 『詩經』에 흥미를 가지게 하고 다각도로 접근하게 하는 방법을 모색하였다.
