교육서비스 관점에서의 대학 원격교수역량 평가도구 개발 = Validation of a tool evaluating distance teaching competencies for higher education in the perspective of education service

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop and validate an evaluation tool of teaching competency for distance education in college.
Design/methodology/data/approach: Based on literature reviews, a potential model evaluating competencies for distance teaching in higher education was suggested. An evaluation tool consisting of 33 survey items was delivered to 104 college students. An exploratory factor analysis was performed to ascertain the importance of the criteria.
Findings/Results: The results of the study showed that items within each evaluation criterion could be bound into one factor. Reliability estimates using Cronbach’s alpha indicated that the evaluation tool had good internal consistency. As a result of the confirmatory factor analysis, over fit measures including CFI, NFI, and NNFI showed the good suitability of the model. It could be concluded that the evaluation tool for distance teaching competencies in higher education was valid and reliable.
Value: The results of this study provide practical implications to improve the quality of distance education from the perspective of education service.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 교육서비스 관점에서 대학 원격강좌의 교수역량 잠재모형을 도출하고 신뢰롭고 타당한 원격교수역량 평가도구를 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 관련 선행 연구를 분석한 후, 4개 평가영역과 10개 평가준거로 구성된 원격교수역량 모형을 도출하였다. 이 모형을 토대로 33개 예비 평가문항으로 구성된 평가도구를 개발한 후, 대학 원격수업 경험이 있는 학습자 104명을 대상으로 문항중요도 설문을 실시하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과, 각 평가준거에 속한 문항들이 1요인으로 묶여지는 것으로 확인하였으며, 선정된 문항들은 각 척도를 구성하는 문항으로서 높은 내적합치도를 보였다. 또한 원격교수역량 모형의 적합성을 확인하기 위해 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 좋은 합치도 수준을 나타냈다. 이 연구 결과는 교육서비스 관점에서의 원격교수역량을 측정하는 도구를 개발하였다는 점에서 의미가 있으며, 향후 교육서비스 관점에서 대학 원격수업의 질 제고를 위한 토대를 마련하는 데 있어서 실제적인 시사점을 제공해 준다.
