이야기를 활용한 음악활동이 유아의 음악개념과 행복감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 이야기를 활용한 음악활동이 유아의 음악개념 및 행복감에 효과가 있는지를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구 대상은 사회․경제적 배경이 비슷한 2개 유치원에 재원중인 만5세 유아 34명(실험집단 17명, 비교집단 17명)이었다. 실험집단은 이야기를 활용한 음악활동을 진행하였고 비교집단은 생활주제에 따른 일반적인 음악활동을 진행하였다. 실험처치의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 실험처치 전후의 음악개념과 행복감을 측정하여 공변량분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 이야기를 활용한 음악활동을 실시한 실험집단 유아들이 일반적인 음악활동을 경험한 비교집단 유아들보다 음악개념과 행복감이 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 이야기를 활용한 음악활동이 유아의 음악개념과 행복감 향상에 효과가 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 유아교육기관에서는 이야기와 음악이 서로 깊은 관련성과 긍정적 영향을 미치는 관계라는 것에 중요한 의미를 두어 다양한 이야기가 있는 음악활동을 개발․활용하여 효과적인 음악개념 학습을 이루고 유아의 삶의 질을 결정하는 행복감의 증대를 가져오도록 해야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of music activities using stories on the musical concept and happiness of young children. The subjects of the study were 34 5-year-old children(experimental group, 17, comparative group, 17). The experimental group consisted of children attending N Kindergarten Annexed Elementary School and the comparative group of students attending A Kindergarten Annexed Elementary School both located in P city, Gyeonggi-do. Music activities using stories were carried out for young children in the experimental group three times a week for eight weeks. Music activities related to everyday life were carried out for young children in the comparative group three times a week for eight weeks. The results were as follows: First, the musical concept of the experimental group of young children that experienced music activities using stories seems to have significantly increased compared to the comparative group of young children that experienced rather normal music activities. Second, the happiness scale of the experimental group of young children that experienced music activities with stories seems to have significantly increased compared to the comparative group of young children that experienced rather normal music activities.
