선택적 함묵아의 문제행동과 의사소통에 미술치료가 미치는 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 일반초등학교 학생 중에서 학교생활에서 나타나는 문제행동과 의사소통에 어려움을 겪고 있는 선택적 함묵아를 대상으로 다양한 미술치료프로그램을 실시함으로써 미술 치료가 선택적 함묵아의 언어 및 행동에 미치는 효과를 밝혀 아동의 적절한 학교생활을 돕기 위한 것으로 그 구체적인 목적은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 선택적 함묵아의 의사소통에 미술치료가 미치는 효과를 밝힌다. 둘째, 선택적 함묵아의 문제행동에 미술치료가 미치는 효과를 밝힌다. 본 연구의 문제행동감소와 의사소통능력향상의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 BBRS(행동평정척도) 와 KHTP(동적집나무사람그림), KFD(동적가족화), LMT(풍경구성법), KSD(학교생활화)를 통화여 프로그램 실시 후 사전사후를 비교하였으며 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 선택적 함묵아의 의사소통에 미술치료가 미치는 효과가 있다. 둘째, 선택적 함묵아의 문제행동에 미술치료가 미치는 효과가 있다. 결론으로 보아 선택적 함묵아의 문제행동과 의사소통에 미술치료가 상당히 효과적인 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 현재 선택적 함묵아의 치료교육, 특히 문제행동과 의사소통개선에 효과적인 방안을 제시하였다. 앞으로 더 많은 선택적 함묵아를 대상으로 연구 될 필요가 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this case study was to investigate the effect of the art therapy on the communication and problem behaviors of a child with selective mutism so as to help her school life adjustment. The third grader in the elementary school who participated in the study met the criteria for selective mutism according to DSM-IV. She could talk with her family at home but did not speak to anyone outside the home including the school. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the art therapy to decrease problem behaviors and improve communication skills, the art therapy program was executed. A comparative before-and-after evaluation was performed through BBRS(Burks’ Behavior Rating Scale), KHTP(Kinetic House-Tree-Person Drawing), KFD(Kinetic Family Drawing), LMT(Landscape Montage Technique), and KSD(Kinetic School Drawing) and the results were as follows: First, the art therapy was effective in improving communication skills of the selective mute child. Second, the art therapy was effective in decreasing problem behaviors of the selective mute child. Concludingly, this case study suggested that the art therapy was considerably effective in improving communication skills and reducing problem behaviors of the selective mute child. The art therapy to more children with selective mutism is necessary to get the statistically meaningful results.
