Ⅰ. Objectives of the study
1. Need for the study
○ An increasing number of approved drugs include pharmacogenomic information on their labels and list biomarkers that allow the prediction of dosing, thereby preventing underdosing and the consequent lack of efficacy or preventing overdosing and reducing the risks of ADRs.
○ Pharmacogenomic test kits optimized for Korean population have been developed and
scientific evidences for clinical validation allowing the prediction of drug response are accumulated.
○ KFDA would like to develop the nation-wide framework for implementing personalized pharmacotherapy into clinical prectice and public health ○ To this end, KFDA seeks for a developmental proposal of the personalized pharmacotherapy framework in Korea and its economic assessment.

Ⅰ. 연구개발과제의 목적 및 필요성
1. 연구의 필요성
○ 부작용은 줄이고 효과는 높이는 개인맞춤약물 정보가 의약품 허가사항에 지속적으로 반영되고 있음.
○ 한국인 약물유전형 진단키트를 개발하고, 약물반응을 예측할 수 있는 과학적 근거들을 확보하였음.
○ 식약청에서는 개인맞춤약물 실용화를 위한 국가적 체계를 구축하고자 함.
○ 이에 한국인에 적합한 개인맞춤약물의 실용화 추진 구상과 개인맞춤약물의 경제성을 평가하자 함.
