정보기술네트워크, 조직구조 및 경영전략에 관한 실증연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

소위 인터넷으로 대표되는 정보기술(information technology: IT) 네트워크의 급속한 확산이 조직구조와 경쟁전략, 그리고 조직성과에 중대한 영향을 끼치고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 IT 네트워크가 중소기업의 조직성과를 향상시키는지, 그리고 조직성과에 대한 경쟁전략 및 조직구조의 영향을 IT 네트워크가 어떻게 조절하고 있는지를 실증분석하고 있다. 즉, 조직구조 및 경쟁전략과 IT 네트워크 사이의 적합성(상호작용 항목)이 조직성과를 향상시키는지를 살펴보았다. 대구ㆍ경북지역에 소재한 중소기업으로부터 설문조사를 실시하여 179개 기업으로부터 자료를 수집ㆍ분석하였다. 분석결과 IT 네트워크는 중소기업의 조직성과에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 차별화전략 및 분권화가 조직성과에 미치는 영향을 긍정적으로 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 저원가전략 및 공식화가 조직성과에 미치는 영향에 대해서는 부적으로 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 나아가 이러한 연구결과가 제공하는 시사점과 한계점, 그리고 향후의 연구과제에 대해 논의하였다.

This study investigated the effects of information technology(IT) network on the organizational structure, competitive strategy, and organizational performance. Interaction effects of IT network, organizational structure and competitive strategy were tested as predictors of organizational performance. The data were collected from 179 small and medium sized firms located in Daegu and Kyungbuk district area. Empirical results indicated that IT network was positively related to the organizational performance. It was also shown that the fit between IT network, organizational structure, competitive strategy was associated with organizational performance. Specifically, IT network was associated with organizational performance for decentralization and differentiation strategy. The implications of these findings, limitations, and future research directions were discussed.
