      This study made researches on University students' preference to the chinese date sauce and asked their opinion. The results are as follows. 1) They appreared to be less interested in their health. 2) They think that sauce affects the food very much and that the conditions of sauce which affect food are its taste and harmony with food. 3) They think the color and quality of sauce are less important to the harmony between sauce and food. 4) The frequency in intaking food and drink containing chinese date was relatively high, and male students seemed to prefer chinese date-foodstuff. 5) They think chinese date sauce is good for health and has chinese medicine effect and peculiar taste. 6) Their interest in chinese date sauce was so high that they were likely to intake food and drink containing chinese date sauce, if there have been any. 7) They seemed to deeply trust in the efficacy of the foodstuffs including chinese herb. 8) Male students(66.7%) were more sensitive to the smell of sauce than female students(33.3%). 9) Compared with female students, males were fairly accustomed to foods containing chinese date(72.7% of male students were familiar with samgyetang). 10) The younger they were, appeared the less frequency intaking foodstuffs containing chinese date sauce
      From the above, they seemed to be highly interested in developing the chinese date sauce.
