놀이의 의미와 치료 및 성장을 위한 활용 = A New Angle on Play: Definition of Play and Play`s Therapeutic Elements

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to define the term, `play` and to explore play`s therapeutic elements. For this study I reviewed the literatures dealing with play; for example, encyclopedias, handbooks, journals, theses(master/doctorate). As a result, I suggested that, firstly, play and work are not absolutely mutually exclusive. We play in leisure time and we can also play in the daily routine. And it is also possible to play in the real and fantasy world. Thus, we need a new angle on play. Secondly, play is a very useful medium of healing and growth. Lastly, we need to develop new ways of play which is good for healing and growth when we use them in Korean indigenous psychology.
