The purpose of this study is to show effect mechanical resistant property of Si in A390 Swash plate. Automobile compressor swash plate used A390 alloy and it changed an alternating motion from a straight-line motion of piston shaft. Swash plate on automobile compressor is very important mechanical property influence on Si A390 alloy. The study had a lively discussion about Si mechanical property on A390 alloy in automobile compressor swash plate. But there is not a study on the Si mechanical property in swash plate. A swash plate compressor has been used widely on automotive air conditioning system was installed to automobile in 1955. A swash plate compressor have wide operation range and relatively better durability than other type compressors. To develope a improved swash plate compressor, it is important to analyze the performance characteristics for the operating conditions. Aluminum alloys show a characteristic of excellent cast ability and high specific strength, density so that these alloys are widely used for a casting material. Recently as the trend of a light automobile, the automobile industry of advanced nations have progressed researches on substituting aluminum alloys for materials being already in existence for saving fuel.
Therefore this study carried out research on the metal flow, microstructure, hardness, ultimate load, bending strength, tensile strength, process capability of Si volume in swash plate.
