The CP^N-1 model is studied on R^1×S^1 and S^1×S^1 topology. The Wilson line integrals along non-contractible loop of the gauge field could take non-integrable phase factor for any N in general dimensions and the model undergoes first-order phase transition on such topologies. The renormalization invariant critical conditions are analytically found in large-N approximation, in addition to the results on thermodynamics of the model.
