부자의 구원과 행복: 누가복음을 중심으로

The objective of this paper is to examine possibility of the rich through two cases introduced in chapter 18 and 19 of Luke and prove that salvation is the only condition for happiness.
The reason why the author chose Luke is that word of salvation and its derivatives are more frequently mentioned in Luke than other synoptic gospels.
This paper examined possibility for salvation through two cases, that is, a rich ruler and Zacchaeu who was wealthy and a chief tax collector, Also, the author illuminated that happiness does not depend on such conditions as money, power, and health, but on spiritual fruits such as righteousness, peace and joy.
There are two implications from this study. First, this study gives an implication for Society of Happiness and Affluence Studies: On one hand, it should research and educate how to be rich from poverty. On the other hand, it should research how to preach the Gospel to the unhappy and rich so that they can be the happy and rich.
Second, church should put equal emphasis on her ministry in preaching and education toward the rich as well as the poor. Also, she should make efforts to solve conflicts between the rich and the poor not only within church, but also outside of her.
