      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Moon-Bo paek(白文寶) was one of new-confucianists in late Korea-Dynasty. There were prominent confucianists around his age, such as Hae Choe(崔瀣), chuk An(安軸), Jea-Hean Lee(李齊賢), Gock Lee(李穀), In-Bock Lee(李仁福), and as his juniors Saek Lee(李穡), Mong-Ju Cheong(鄭夢周), Seung-In Lee(李崇仁). Moon-Bo Paek can not be evaluated as the most outstanding scholar in writing or politics When compared with others, because he left only one writing, 『DamAmiljip淡庵逸集』which was published by his descendants in the early 20th century. However, there is some reason to pay attention to him:
      1. He pointed out the depravity of Buddhism and insisted to reject it by sending a memorial 「Chuk-Bul So斥佛疏」 to the Throne, Much before the founding of Lee Dynasty which orientate a government policy according to not Buddhism, but new-confucianism. And he was a protestant to criticize the decline of the upper classes and to assert a renovation of the bureaucracy in those days.
      2. He emphasized the expression of human nature in poetry more than the formal beauty of the it. He followed the teachings of Confucius - "Poetry can arise an interest and give an inspect to the numan society by telling the meaning, and one can learn from it one's duty to his parents and king." He said, "Poetry should originate from the human nature. The formality or a scholarship is useless." He is leading figure of the later moralistic literary in Lee Dynasty.
      3. In the first and oldest anthology,『Korean Anthology東文選』, there are his prose and poetry of various style, so it is pollible that he is evaluated as a representative sriter of his times.
Paek, Moon-Bo was a pioneer who criticized the contradiction of Buddhist culture and the conventionalism, and who insisted to clear off the formal beauty of Korean literary which has been lasted for 500 years. This research deal with the inspection about how his theory is reflected in his works. As a result, we can find out that almost works show the continous attitude with his theary execpt for the prose at presence of king, which has conventional form of writing.
Only with the remained writing, we can assume that he was a scholar who practiced moralistic literary with a novel idea of renovation against the conventional Buddhism.
