Unio douglasiae (GAIFFITH et PIDGEON)의 生殖時期에 關한 組織學的 硏究 = A Histological Studies on Breeding Season of the Unio douglasiae (GAIFFITH et PIDGEON)

In this study, the weight of gonads, the size of eggs and histological variation of the Unio douglasiae （GAIFFITH et PIDGEON） which inhabited in the Uiam lake, Gang Won Do, was investigated during the period from July 1980 to June 1981.
1. U. douglasiae is dioecious
2. The rate of biomass to total weight of gonads was 36.28∼36.61％ in March and April, and 35.64∼36.08％ in August and October.
3. Mean diameterof the eggs was 173.9∼171.5μ in March and April, and was 158.4∼151.9μ in August and October. And the shape of immature eggs are globe.
4. The gonad was filled with connective tissue and egg sac in March and April, in August and October. But connective tissue was gradually incresed and egg sac was constracted.
5. The spawning season of U. douglasiae was from April to July, and from October to December.
