유아의 배분하기와 삼각형 크기 비교 능력 = Young Children's Equal Partitioning and Size Comparison Abilities

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The objective of this study is to find out whether there exist differences in young children's equal partitioning and size comparison abilities depending on their age and their families' income level.
For this research, relevant tests were administered individually to 120 children, ages four and five (half of the children were from middle-class families and the other half were from low-income families).
The major findings of this study are as follows:
First, the five-year-old children outperformed the four-year-olds in both categories of equal partitioning and size comparison of triangles;
Second, the children from middle-class families did better than those from low-income families in both categories; and,
Third, there is a significant correlation between children's partitioning and size comparison abilities.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 유아의 배분하기와 삼각형 크기 비교 능력이 유아의 연령과 계층에 따라 차이가 있는지, 그리고 배분하기 능력과 삼각형 크기 비교 능력 간에 관계가 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 4, 5세 유아 120명(중류층 60명, 하류층 60명)에게 배분하기 과제와 삼각형 크기 비교 과제를 개별검사로 실시하였다. 연구결과, 4세 보다는 5세 유아가, 그리고 하류층 유아보다는 중류층 유아가 배분하기 및 삼각형 크기 비교 능력이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 유아의 배분하기 능력과 삼각형 크기 비교 능력 간에는 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
