      The purpose of this study was to develop a group counseling program geared towardfacilitating the school adjustment of elementary school upper graders through the use of SNSfor educational purposes, and to verify the effectiveness of program. There were significantdifferences between the two groups in the changes in the subfactors of school adjustment. Asa result of analyzing their self-reports, what they said through social networking service andthe observation data of the counselor, the program was found to have had a positive effecton the school adjustment of the upper graders. This study is of significance in that it wassuccessful in overcoming the temporal and spatial limitations of group counseling by takingadvantage of social networking service for educational purposes and in drawing attentionfrom the parents.

      이 연구의 목적은 초등학교 고학년의 학교적응을 위한 교육용 SNS 활용 집단상담 프로그램을 구안하고 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 본 프로그램은 조사, 분석, 설계, 구안, 적용의 5단계를 거쳐 개발하였으며 개발된 프로그램은 광역시 소재의 초등학교 5학년의 1개 학급에 적용하였고프로그램을 실시하지 않은 통제집단과 비교하여 효과를 검증하였다. 본 프로그램은 초등학교고학년의 교사관계, 교우관계, 학교수업 및 학교규칙과 관련한 학교적응에 유의한 변화가 있는것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과에 대해 논의하였으며 후속연구를 위한 제안점을 제시하였다.
