죽음 - 그 가장 아름다운 인간의 실존: 구약 성서적 창조와 지혜 전승의 관점에서 본 인간의 죽음에 대한 고찰

국문 초록 (Abstract)

인간 창조를 서술하는 창세기 2, 3장을 통해서 볼 때, 인간의 죽음은 창조주 하나님으로부터 주어진 본질적인 것이다. 특별히 에덴동산의 인간에게 설정된 생명과 죽음은 하나님의 존재를 상징하는 생명나무와 선악을 알게 하는 나무에 의해 주어진다. 생명나무와 선악을 알게 하는 나무는 공히 인간이 취할 수 없는 하나님의 영역을 상징하며, 인간의 한계를 구체화시키는 기능을 한다. 특별히 죽음의 개념은 인간 속에 이미 존재하였던 것이 죄와 타락으로 구체화 되었을 뿐 그것으로 인해 인간 존재 영역에 새롭게 생성된 것으로 볼 수 없다. 이러한 인간의 본질에 대한 이해는 창조전승으로부터 구약의 다른 부분에까지 연결되며, 특히 지혜문학에서의 죽음에 대한 이해와 부합한다. 특히 전도서는 죽음이 인간에게 주는 긍정적 기능으로 죽음이 인간으로 하여금 자신의 한계를 깨닫게 하며, 동시에 죽음을 초월해 존재하는 하나님을 인식하게 함을 지적한다. 동시에 인간을 삶의 영역으로 되돌려 세우며, 그 삶 속에서 적극적인 자세로 살아가기를 원하시는 하나님을 발견하게 한다. 그러므로 구약에서 말하는 인간의 죽음은 인간의 실존에 있어서 가장 아름다운 것이며, 매우 긍정적인 기능을 하고 있다고 볼 수 있다.

What set up specifically to humans in the Garden of Eden, 'life and death' is given through the tree of knowledge of good and evil and the tree of life, that symbolizes the presence of God. The realm of God, that is symbolized by the tree of the knowledge of good and evil as well as the tree of life, is not permitted to human to invade. Thereby is externalized the limits of human capabilities. In particular, the concept of death was not created due to sin and depravity, but it was already embodied in human existence from the Creation. And such understanding about the nature of human being agree with the traditions from other parts of the Old Testament, especially for the concept of the death of the wisdom literature. Ecclesiastes present as a positive function of human death that it realize to humans their own limitations, and at the same time recognize that God's existence, who rise above the death. The God back the human into the realm of life and build up by him the positive attitude. Therefore the death of a man is in the Old Testament is the most beautiful things in the existence of human beings and a very positive feature that can
