패션산업에서의 창의성: 스웨덴 패션 산업의 사례연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 스웨덴 패션 산업의 연구를 통하여 패션산업에서의 창의성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 알아보고 이를 통하여 국내 패션산업에 적용할 수 있는 시사점을 제공하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 패션산업에 종사하는 15인의 전문가와의 면접을 통하여 자료를 수집하였으며 스웨덴의 패션산업의 전반적인 측면들에 대하여 알아보았다. 또한 스웨덴에서 출간된 전문자료들을 통하여 스웨덴 패션산업의 발달과정 등을 조사하였다. 고급패션을 지향하는 프랑스나 이태리 등의 서유럽 국가들과는 달리 스웨덴은 대중적 패션을 주로 다루는 H&M을 중심으로 발달되어 있으며, 봉제산업은 1970년대 이후로 거의 존재하고 있지 않은 특성을 지니고 있다. 이러한 스웨덴 패션산업에 대한 연구를 통하여 노동집약적 봉제산업에서의 경쟁력을 잃어가는 우리나라의 패션산업이 디자인 또는 유행중심적인 패션산업으로 전환되는 데 있어서 유의해야 할 점들에 대한 시사점이 있다고 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine Swedish fashion industry and the factors that influence creativity in fashion industry, with the goal of suggesting implications for Korean fashion indsutry. The data was collected from indepth interviews with fifteen experts in fashion business, and various aspects about Swedish fashion industry were asked. Also, academic and professional publications written in Swedish were examined in order to collect information about the history of the Swedish fashion industry. Compared to Western European countries such as France or Italy that are focused on high fashion, Swedish fashion industry was established around the major retailing companies such as H&M. Another characteristic of Swedish fashion industry is that sewing or manufacturing component of the industry has moved out of the country as early as in the 1970s. Due to these characteristics, Swedish fashion industry may serve as an example to Korean fashion industry, because Korean fashion indstury is now in the transition stage from manufacturing/sewing-focused to design/retailing-focused industry.
