      In this study the writers analyzed the local economic effect and restructuring of the port industry of the Port of Mokpo which attaining 100th anniversary of open port.
      The analyzed result of this study can be summarized as follows.
      1. The port industries of the Port of Mokpo were induced the employment of 20,797 persons in economic activating population 71,089 persons of the city of Mokpo.
      2. The port industries of the Port of Mokpo were given the income effect of 203,040,193,127 won to the local economy of the city of Mokpo, and monthly income of persons who engaged in the port industry was proved a 1,282,694 won per month.
      3. The gross product of the port industries of the Port of Mokpo was showed a ratio of 48.9% in the GRDP(Gross Regional Domestic Product) of the city of Mokpo.
      4. In the port industries of the Port of Mokpo, the marine product industries was xerted the most influence to the local economy of the city of Mokpo.
      Especially the gross product of the marine product industries was showed a ratio 28.8% in the GRDP of the city of Mokpo and the persons who are engaged in the marine product industries were showed a ratio of 14.6% in the economic activating population of the city of Mokpo.
