러시아 인문과학의 융복합적 사유 (II) - 기호-공백의 ‘화이트홀’과 테크노-휴머니즘 = The Convergence and Integration of Russian Humanities (II) : White hole as sign-blank and Techno-humanism

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study analyzed the core concepts of “Comprehensive Humanities” and “Converged Humanities” by Mikhail Epstein, who began before the full-blown perception of the changing humanities in the technological age, such as ‘Post Human’ and ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’. Epstein, who has constantly inquired into the humanistic availability of the Internet, the product of technological age, and the future of humanities in post-human age, argues that finding the legitimate meaning of ‘techne’ is now requisite for the humanities. He also prescribes that the role and challenges of the humanities will be to fill in the sign-blank, the white hole, that is unproven in astrophysics, but certainly exists in the humanities. In his recent books, such as The Transformative Humanities ― A Manifesto(2012), From Knowledge to Creativity: How the Humanities Can Change the World (2016), and The Future of Humanities(2019). Epstein argues that humanities in the post-human age should be stereoethical with the identity of techno-humanism, which harmonizes technology and ethics.
