고등학교 상담교사의 역할에 대한 요구 분석 = An Analysis of the Needs to the Roleof the High School Counselor in Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the present study was to examine the needs to the role of school counselors who would be placed in Korean high schools in the near future. A questionnaire was administered to 1145 high school students, 482 middle school teachers, 829 parents, and 72 school administrators in 8 regions. On the basis of previous studies on the roles of the school counselor the questionnaire consists of 33 items and in 4 different forms. A factor analysis of the role of the school counselor identified 6 factors-school counseling program, small group counseling, personal․social development counseling, academic․career development counseling, consultation, and coordination. As result, the needs to student personal․social development counseling and academic․career development counseling was the highest factor among those factors. Especially, the needs to the counseling for student's maladjustment was the most desperate. The entire factors and items showed that the needs of the students was significantly lower than that of the parents, teachers, and school administrators, indicating that the students still had low perceptions to school counseling.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 향후 고등학교에 배치될 상담교사의 역할에 대한 요구를 탐색하기 위해 전국에서 표집된 고등학교의 학생, 교사, 학부모, 학교행정가를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문지는 상담교사의 역할에 대한 연구를 토대로 총 33개의 문항, 4가지 종류(학생, 교사, 학부모, 학교행정가용)로 제작되었다. 고등학교 상담교사의 역할에 대해 요인분석 한 결과, 인성․사회성 상담, 학업․진로 상담, 소집단 상담, 자문, 조정, 학교상담 프로그램의 6가지 요인이 산출되었다. 이 요인들 중 인성․사회성 상담, 학업․진로 상담에 대한 요구가 모든 집단에서 가장 높았고, 특히 위기 상담과 부적응 상담에 대한 요구가 높았다. 학부모의 경우 학업․진로 상담과 이에 대한 정보제공 요구가 학생보다 유의하게 높았으며, 교사와 행정가의 경우 인성․사회성 상담에 대한 요구가 학부모보다 높았다. 추출된 전체 요인과 문항에서 학생은 학부모․교사․행정가 집단보다 요구도가 유의하게 낮게 나타나 학생들의 학교상담에 대한 인식이 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 결과들에 대한 논의를 전개하였다. 이 연구는 고등학교 상담교사의 역할을 규정하는데 있어서 기초연구로서 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
