The aim of this study is to collect and analyze the bio-signal representing driver's psychophysiological response, and to develop a quantitative tool to evaluate the influence of road condition on human subjects during highway driving. To do this, a software was developed to analyze various bio-signals, and the database was constructed to store and the psychophysiological information of drivers. In conclusion, this study has found a quantitative method to evaluate human factors during highway driving, and built a knowledge-based infra-structure of driver's psychophysiological response to various road conditions for further research. Based upon the current result of the study, we will be able to provide a highly advanced and scientific method to prevent drivers from frequent highway accidents. Furthermore, the diagnostic power and sensitivity of the model can be bettered if additional information from various road environment can be incorporated with present database.
