Peter Bürger has indicated that the project of the historical avant-garde, which intended to sublate the separation of life and art, has failed and its own resistance was accepted into the arts institution. He also pointed out that “the neo-avant-garde institutionalizes the avant-garde as art and thus negates genuinely avant-gardiste intentions”. However, Hal Foster criticize Bürger. In that he makes a division between the first neo-avant-garde and the second neo-avant-garde. According to him, this attempts to critically analyze the limitation of the institutionalizing beyond the institutionalizing of the historical avant-garde and the first neo-avant-garde. In this context our contemporary art become much more globalized than before. Our contemporary artists also work with various media such as photographs, paintings, sculptures, installations, videos, performances.
