영어와 이탈리아어의 관사생략의 보편규칙과 매개변인

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 영어와 이탈리아어의 무관사에 관한 것이다. 관사가 어떤 경우에 반드시 있어야 하고 어떤 경우에 생략이 되어야 하는지를 외국인이 의식적으로 알아차리기란 실제로 가능하지 않다는 사실이 연구의 출발이다. 이러한 의미에서 영어와 이탈리아어에 공히 적용되는 관사 생략의 규칙을 발견하는 일은 순수 언어학 이론뿐 아니라 언어교습 분야에서 매우 유용한 일이다. 본 연구는 먼저 두 언어에 나타나는 관사 생략의 자료들을 수집하고 비교하여 두 언어 간의 ‘같음’과 ‘다름’을 추출하고 이를 토대로 관사 생략을 야기 시키는 어휘적, 형태-통사적, 의미적 요인들이 무엇인지 비교분석함으로써 의미와 통사의 영역을 아우르는 관사 생략의 보편적 규칙을 제시하고자 한다. 따라서 두 언어의 관사생략 자료의 현지 수집, 두 언어 자료 간의 비교, 보편적 규칙의 이론화, 두 언어의 원어민과 전문가들의 확인 및 조언 등을 토대로 이론적 결과물을 도출할 계획이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is about the article, which makes Korean learners stay in the criteria of 'foreigner' in foreign language learning. It is true that one cannot recognize consciously when the article is emerged and when omitted. In this sense, finding out the rules of article omission applied to both English and Italian can be very useful to language teaching, as well as pure linguistics. In this study, first, the 'similarity' and 'difference' of the two language will be drawn by collecting the data of the zero article shown in the two languages, and comparing them. Secondly, universal rules for zero article that can compromise the domain of syntax and semantics will be suggested by comparing and analyzing the lexical, morpho-syntactic, and semantic factors. Lastly, confirmation and advice from the native speakers of each language and experts will be followed.
