기업가정신이 혁신활동과 혁신성과에 미치는 영향 및 혁신활동의 매개역할

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날처럼 경영환경의 환경의 불확실성이 주는 제약과 위협요인을 슬기롭게 극복하기 위한 방안으로 경영자의 기업가 정신과 혁신이 강조되고 있다. 환경 불확실성이 높을수록 기업은 환경에 적합한 변화가 요구되며, 이러한 변화를 위해서는 기업가 정신과 혁신이 요구되기 때문이다. 이에 본 연구는 기업가 정신, 기술혁신, 혁신성과의 구조적 관계를 연구모형으로 제시하고, 중소기업을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 실증적으로 분석하였다. 실증분석 결과 기업가 정신은 기술혁신에, 기술혁신은 혁신성과에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 인과관계가 유의하였다. 또한 기업가 정신이 혁신성과에 영향을 주는 관계는 유의하지 않고 기술혁신을 통해 혁신성과에 영향을 주는 기술혁신의 매개효과가 통계적으로 유의하였다. 이를 통해 기업가 정신은 기술혁신과 같은 혁신활동을 통해 기업의 성과로 이어진다는 사실을 발견하였다. 본 연구에서는 기업가 정신과 기술혁신의 필요성을 강조하였고, 기업가 정신은 기술혁신과 같은 경영활동으로의 내재화를 통해 성과로 이어진다는 것을 시사점으로 제안하였다.

Entrepreneurship and innovation are highlighted as a way to overcome limitations and risk factors caused by today’s uncertain business environment. As the uncertainty in the business environment increases, organizations are required to adapt to ever changing business dynamics. For this adaptation, entrepreneurship and innovation are crucial factors. This study proposes a model to explain a structural relationship between entrepreneurship, technological innovation, and innovation performance. The unit of analysis focus is small and medium-sized businesses. Empirical results show that there are positive causal relationships from entrepreneurship to technological innovation, and from technological innovation to innovation performance. Additionally, no direct relationship from entrepreneurship to innovation performance is found. Rather, the effect of entrepreneurship on innovation performance is mediated through technological innovation. From this result, we find that increased organizational performance can be achieved through innovation activities such as technological innovation.
