다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

The purpose of this study is to explain the ironic mental process occurs in sports. The theory of ironic processes of mental control (Wegner, 1994), which refers to feeling in ways that are opposite to one's intention, emotion, action, or recognition, is rising as a recent issue confronted by sports psychologists in order to maximize athletes' performance-enhancement by using ways such as psychological skills. The theory holds that ironic mental process is accomplished through the interaction of an cognitive operating process which tries to harmonize one's thought with his/her designated goal and an unconscious monitoring process which is passive and salient and emerges in emergency existing on unconscious level. And the mental control operates normally together with satisfactory mental state and positive thinking. When one has a cognitive load or negative thinking, however, the ironic mental process occurs instead. The issue of sports psychology is interpreted considering the theory of ironic mental process, with specific reference to imagery, self-confidence, pain perception, mood state regulation, anxiety, and attention.
