On this thesis, I investigated narration outline and work character of Yangmunchunguirok. Because, work character of Yangmunchung- uirok not studied the meanwhile, and study on narration outline of Yangmunchunguirok have many wrong.
Yangmunchunguirok is composed with men and women stories of YangBu(楊府) No. 4generation. And there is included some men stories of YangBu No. 5generation.
On men stories of YangBu No. 4generation, Writer reflected problem consciousness in completion, maintenance, manage a household of married couple relation. Writer got count on logic persuasive power, intelligence, righteous attitude, affection, senior's control, temperament and speech and behavior in completion, maintenance, manage a house- hold of married couple relation. And As take up wicked men and women, Writer got count on promotion of virtue and reproval of vice on equal basis.
On women stories of YangBu No. 4generation, Writer got count on value of filial piety and non-omnipotence of filial piety on equal basis.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

楊門忠義錄은 조선후기에 형성된 장편국문소설로서 그동안 異本 比較를 통한 기본적 성격은 소개되었으나, 作品 梗槪와 본격적인 심화 연구는 이루어지지 못했다. 이 작품은 楊府 제4대 10子 5女 중, 백경 등 남성 주요인물과 봉화 등 여성 주요인물, 그리고 제5대 남성인물 중 희원, 희선, 희중 등의 敍事를 상호 교체하면서 竝列的으로 羅列하고, 이들 제4,5대 인물들의 敍事를 제3대 인물인 양인광이 統御하는 형식으로 구성된 작품이다. 작가는 제4대 남성인물의 敍事를 통해 婚事의 成立과 持續, 그리고 그를 통한 齊家에는 문제에 직면한 당사자들의 논리적 설득력, 지혜, 신념, 애정, 氣質, 言行, 어른의 통제 등이 관여한다는 점과, 惡人의 처리방식으로 懲惡과 勸善의 방식을 모두 중시해야 한다는 점을 강조했다. 또한 작가는 제4대 여성인물의 敍事를 통해 자식들의 孝를 높은 가치로 내세우면서도, 孝의 소통적 힘의 한계에 대한 인식도 제시하고 있다.
