情報網協力에 關한 硏究 = The Cooperative System of Information Network

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Information Network means a kind of system to get rid of the various difficulties which can be caused geographically in all the information systems of the world. Through this system, everyone can use efficiently all the information resources in his own country for his own purposes. Inter Library Loan Service was founded to be the most successful one of many Information Networks in the world.
Information Network was founded in order to solve successfully many difficulties such as the limited equipments, building collection, budgeting and the lack of library staffs. That is, National Information Circulation Method Network means to organize one system through which we can connect all the information on centers mutually. The users of this system can share all nation-wide information resources and contribute to the other departments through their achievements in their own fields. Moreover, the resources in the organized system is economically much worthier than those in each technical information center. And it has been reported by Tae Toˇk Science Town that this system can be adopted widely in near future and the union catalogue is to be published before long.
From the above points of view, I studied and analized the information resources such as the total number of books, the location, the use rate, and the equipments in the 7 scientific libraries attached to the information centers sponsored by the Government authorities, 3 business information centers, and 3 university libraries in Tae Toˇk Science Town. Through using the conditions of the resources revealed in the above study, we can connect all unit information centers so closely that they may use all the resources mutually.
This study is to help us establish the national network of library resources in Korea in near future. And I hope that his can be used a a data practically in training librarians and special information analysts, and in improving and expanding Current Awareness Service and SDI Service, and in giving the up-to-date service systems, in order that the budget may not be wasted and may avoid the double purchase and development.
