2, 3, 4세 일반 아동의 평균발화길이 = Mean length of utterance for typically developing children of 2 to 4 years

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is aimed to find the MLU(Mean Length of Utterance) of the eojeol, word, and morpheme of typically developing children of 2 to 4 years old in spontaneous speech samples. The results were as follows: (1) The analysis results of total of 60 children with 20 children in each age group showed that the MLU of the eojeol, word, and morpheme increased significantly regarding development. The significant differences were found between 2 to 3 years old and 2 to 4 years old, but not between 3 to 4 years old. However, the difference between genders was not statistically significant. (2) Within each age group, the correlation among the MLUs was significant with the results of high correlation coefficient. The MLUs of this study could be utilized not only for the language development study of the normally developing children but also for the evaluation of the children with language problems. The high correlation among the MLUs of each age group indicates that the language clinician could use one unit for language evaluation.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

자발화 분석을 통한 언어평가는 공식화 검사의 제한점을 보완하는 언어평가 방법으로 유용하다. 본 연구는 자발화 분석을 통해 2~4세 일반 아동의 평균발화길이를 연령, 성별에 따라 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 각 연령 별로 20명, 총 60명 아동의 각각 100 발화를 분석 한 결과, 연령에 따른 차이는 유의하였으나 성별에 따른 차이는 유의하지 않았다. 연령에서는 2세와 3세의 차이는 유의하였으나 3세와 4세의 차이는 유의하지 않았다. 이는 한국어 발달의 특성이 반영된 것으로 보이며 평균발화길이가 어린 나이 아동의 평가에 더 민감함을 의미한다. 또한 본 연구에서 제시한 연령 별 자료는 장애아동의 언어 평가 시 기본 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 아동의 일상생활에서 수집한 언어샘플이라는 점과, 구어를 토대로 한 발화구분 방법을 적용하여, 소프트웨어를 사용하여 전사와 형태소 분석을 한 점에서 선행연구와 차별화된다.
