노인 부부의 부부관계만족도가 성공적 노화에 미치는 자기효과와 상대방효과 : 소득수준에 따른 분석 = The Actor and Partner Effects of Marital Satisfaction on Successful Aging among Korean Elderly Couples under different Economic Context

The present study examined the influence of marital satisfaction on successful aging among married elderly couples. In particular, the research focused on the actor and partner effects under different economic context. Data from the first (2006) to third (2010) waves of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging (KLoSA) was used. Research sample (N=1,052) were couples aged 65 years and older at the first wave, and married throughout the three waves. APIM (Actor-Partner Interdependence Model) based on multilevel analysis was performed with HLM 7.0. Results indicated that successful aging was explained by marriage context about 50% and individual context about 50%. The actor effect of marital satisfaction was significant only for the upper and middle classes while the partner effect of marital satisfaction was not significant for all economic classes.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 본인이 보고한 부부관계만족도가 개인의 성공적 노화에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 ‘자기효과(actor effect)’와 배우자가 보고한 부부관계만족도가 개인의 성공적 노화에 영향을 미치는지에 대한 ‘상대방효과(partner effect)’를 소득수준을 상, 중, 하로 구분하여 탐색하였다. 연구대상은 한국고령화연구패널조사 1차년도에 부부 모두 65세 이상이고, 적어도 패널 응답기간인 6년 내내 혼인상태를 유지하였으며, 성인 자녀가 생존해 있는 노인 부부(N=1,052, 526쌍)이다. 부부를 분석의 단위로 삼기 위해 APIM(Actor-Partner Interaction Model) 모형을 적용하여 다층분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성공적 노화는 개인맥락에 의해 50%, 부부맥락에 의해 50% 정도 설명되는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성공적 노화에 대한 부부관계만족도의 자기효과는 소득 상위 집단과 중위 집단에서만 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 셋째, 부부관계만족도의 상대방효과는 모든 소득 집단에서 나타나지 않았다.
