임금근로 장애인의 사회경제적 지위와 건강수준의 관계 : 우울과 장애수용의 매개효과 = The relationship between socioeconomic status and health of the employees with disabilities - Focused on the mediating effects of depression and disability acceptance

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between socioeconomic status(SES) and health of the employees who have disabilities and the mediating effect of depression and disability acceptance that they have experienced. For this study, data were drawn from the forth wave panel survey of employment for the disabled. It included 1,083 persons of wage earners with disabilities. The methodology adopted in this study is the structural equation modeling. The findings of this study are as follows: First, the respondent’s SES has a statistically significant influence on his or her health status. In addition, the SES has a direct effect on the depression and disability acceptance of the respondent. Second, depression and disability acceptance have a direct effect on health. Third, depression and disability acceptance have statistically significant mediating effects between SES and health status. Based on the findings, this study concludes with a discussion of its practical implications, a need for a political approach to intervention, and a system improvement plan for the better health of the disabled.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 임금근로 장애인의 사회경제적 지위와 건강수준의 관계를 살펴보고 이와 더불어 심리적 기제인 우울과 장애수용의 매개효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 분석 자료는 제 4차 장애인고용패널 조사를 활용하였으며, 분석에 사용된 대상은 총1083명이다. 분석방법으로는 구조방정식 모형을 활용하였다. 이에 대한 분석결과, 임금근로 장애인의 사회경제적 지위는 건강수준에 유의미한 영향관계를 나타냈고, 우울과 장애수용에도 직접효과를 나타냈다. 또한, 우울과 장애수용은 건강에 직접효과를 나타냈다. 한편, 사회경제적 지위와 건강과의 관계에서 우울과 장애수용의 간접효과는 모두 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 장애인의 건강에 사회경제적 지위와 우울 및 장애수용은 중요한 변인임을 확인할 수 있었고, 이를 바탕으로 임금근로 장애인의 건강수준 개선을 위한 실천적 함의와 정책적 개입 방안 및 제도개선 과제에 대해 논하였다.
