      The main objectives of this survey was to explore the management status of the father's program at the kindergarten and day care centers institutions, and to provide basic information and active suggestions for the enforcement of fathers program at those institutions.
      In this research, a questionnaire survey was performed on 200 infant educational institutions such as kindergartens and day care centers in Pusan, and the analysis tool for this investigation on the management status of father's program was modified based on previous studies including Kim, Sunghee(1996), Lee, Heelan(2000), and Kim, Eun (2001). The statistical evaluation was performed for acquired data using the SPSS program.
      The results were as follows :
      First, it was found that the father's programs at kindergartens and day care centers were conducted at a high rate. Moreover, the enforcement rate of father's program at kindergarten was much higher than that of day care center. In general, it was observed that the awareness on father's program has been spread through the entire infant educational institutions.
      Second, in the view point of the management of father's program, fathers opinions were reflected in advance, and the main objective of the program was the importance of the related education between infant educational institution and home in most institutions. The father's program has been performed all the year round, and mostly Friday and Saturday were preferred for the program. Most father's program activities have been operated for about two hours.
      Third, the typical types of father's program were visit and/or participation of a class, and the program was executed with various types such as lecture, printed matters, workshop, forum, symposium, interview, etc.
      Fourth, the most popular contents of father's program were The importance of fathers role at home, followed by The human relationship for the enhancement of relationship between parents and children, The knowledge on growth, development, and characteristic of children, and Personal experience activity.
      Fifth, post evaluation has been conducted for most father's program, and the evaluation method was a questionnaire survey. It was found that the content of the program strongly influenced for the management of father's program as compared with the type of the program, and the program content was one of most important factors to be considered in the management of father's program.
      Sixth, the critical issues in the management of father's program were heavy loads of teacher, lack of time due to increase of double income couple, limited time, etc, and a similar trend has been obtained for both kindergartens and day care centers.
      Seventh, the most active suggestion for father's program was The development of desirable program, and in general, the types of father's program under development were field experience learning or the programs, which could be utilized as a part of class participation. The short-term programs and one time activities were preferred in terms of time.
