초등학교 저학년 아동의 방과 후 프로그램 개발 기초 연구 = Basic Research about Lower Grades" After School Programs

This study, as a basic necessary for researching the current situations of after-school programs used by lower-grades children in elementary school, has the following purposes: to investigate the actual state of extracurricular learning programs for lower-grades children, to identify the differences between parents and teachers in the terms of requirement over the programs and hoping educational activities, and to search the differences in the special-ability developing education of the programs. For this study, the researcher(s) inquired total 300 people of 30 teachers at elementary schools in Icheon, Kyungi Province and the parents with preschool, 1st, 2nd and 3rd children respectively. The result is as follows.
First, at researching about lower-grades children"s actual state using after-school programs, it was found that there were more children not joining in such programs. For the participating children in the programs, the highest rate of respondents mentioned the development of sociality as their children"s join reason. Second, parents were satisfied at the after-school programs for lower-grades children, and teachers considered their own using after-school programs as good ones. Third, there were found rare difference between parents and teachers in the requirements over the extra learning programs for lower-grade children of elementary school. Fourth, regarding over the importance level of special-ability education contents, there appeared meaningful difference(gap) between teachers and parents.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 현재 초등학교 저학년 아동의 방과 후 프로그램의 이용실태를 조사하는데 필요한 기초연구로서, 초등학교 저학년 아동의 방과후 프로그램 이용 실태와 방과후 프로그램에 대한 부모와 교사의 요구는 차이는 어떠한지를 알아보고 방과후 프로그램의 희망교육활동에 대한 부모와 교사는 차이, 방과후 프로그램의 특기교육 내용 차이를 파악해 보는 것이다. 경기도 이천시에 위치한 초등학교 교사 30명과 예비 1학년 부모, 1학년, 2학년, 3학년까지의 초등학교 부모는 총 314명을 대상으로 하여 조사한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 방과후 프로그램 이용실태를 살펴볼 때 자녀의 방과후 프로그램 참여는 참여하지 않는 자녀가 많이 나타났으며 참여하는 이유로는 사회성 발달을 위해서가 가장 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 초등학교 저학년 아동의 방과후 프로그램에 대한 부모와 교사의 프로그램 이용 대한 교사들은 바람직하게 생각하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등학교 저학년 아동의 방과후 프로그램에 대한 부모와 교사의 요구는 부모와 교사에의 큰 차이가 없었다. 넷째, 방과 후 프로그램의 특기교육 내용에는 특기교육 내용의 중요도에서 교사와 부모가 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
