A design method of the new 1.25λ-ring and 7λ/6-ring 3 dB directional coupler using fundametal λ/8-or λ/6-sections is proposed and their frequency characteristics are analyzed.
Furthermore, the experimental verification has been achieved in microstrip network, and hence, the validity of the design method of a microwave component with the basic λ/8-or λ/6-sections proposed in this paper is confirmed.
