      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      In the paper, the roughness characteristics(i.e. the size of roughness(R_max, R_a, R_p, h, k,) on machined part) were calculated by geometrical method and the results were compared with the actually measured ones.
      The main results obtained are as follows :
      1) The calculated roughness values are well agreed with the measured ones except small feed range(~0.05 mm/rev.~).
      2) The surface roughness is much more influenced by cutting speed in lower feed range than higher.
      3) The roughness curves formed by cutting tool are more accurately generated in the range of higher cutting speed.
