      e-Portfolio is a digitalized portfolio that allows learners to manage their learning processes. It is also important as a platform that support metacognitive activities. Affordance perspective is one of important considerations in designing a user-friendly e-portfolio because it increases learners’ action possibilities for prompting metacogntive activities. However, few studies have designed and developed e-portfolio from affordance perspective. Thus, the purpose of this study is to suggest e-Portfolio design principes to facilitate metacogntion from affordance perspective. For this, nine affordance components of e-Portfolio for metacontion support were identified from literature reviews. Then, design principles were suggested. An e-Portfolio prototype was developed and tested with college students at Korea. The result show that employed affordance design principles improved the usability of the e-Portfolio. Future design implications were suggested based on findings.
