The Pianissimo 음악예술학회 연주회 프로그램 분석을 통한 고찰 - 2005년부터 2016년까지 = A Study on The Pianissimo-The Musical Arts Association Concert Program Analysis from 2005 to 2016

This article focuses on the growth of [The Pianissimo-The Musical Arts Association, The PP-MAA] and understands the domestic trends of chamber music concerts through investigating the 38 concerts composed of 306 musical pieces given by [The PP-MAA] from 2005 to 2016. During the period, [The PP-MAA] held 95% of the concerts under a certain subject and average 6.6 times per year since 2012, when the number of the concerts was sharply increased. It prefers vacation season, even number months, weekends, and evening for a concert. The number of stages is gradually, but that of performers are rapidly increased. The Romantic and Contemporary repertoires account for 91% of the entire program and the result looks closely related to the development process of piano ensemble. Performers favor program music, duo, and piano ensemble. 10% of world premiere pieces, 45% of arranged pieces, and 17% of Korean composers' works are contained in the whole programs. 164 single performers participated in the concerts, of which 59% played more than twice. Among the performers, 73% are in piano major, 76% are doctors, doctoral candidates, and Konzertexamen, 95% studied abroad in 12 countries and earned bachelor's degree or more. [The PP-MAA] held 61% of the concerts at Seoul Arts Center and 90% in Korea. The trend of [The PP-MAA]'s piano ensemble repertoire is similar to the preceding research analysis.
[The PP-MAA] has played an important role in the development and vitalization of chamber music in Korea for last 12 years with the increase of the yearly number of concerts and performers, the expansion of repertoire by commission, new arrangement, and Korean composers, the group of outstanding performers, and holding most concerts at the best concert halls in South Korea. For the pursuing aim and ideology of the association, this study suggests [The PP-MAA] to be exposed more at international arena.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 [The Pianissimo 음악예술학회]의 2005년부터 2016년까지 총 38회, 306곡에 달하는 12년간의 연주회 프로그램을 분석하여 학회의 성장과정을 조명해보고, 연주활동 현황 및 국내 실내악 음악회의 연주 동향을 파악하였다. 공연 구성에 있어 95%를 특정 주제를 가지고 개최하였으며, 공연 횟수는 2012년부터 급격히 늘어 연평균 6.6회의 연주회를 열었다. 개최시기는 방학 기간을 가장 선호하였으며 짝수 달, 주말, 저녁시간의 비중이 높았다. 전체 공연의 무대 구성의 수는 평균 6.7개, 출연한 연주자 수는 평균 14.1명이나 2012년부터 급격히 증가 추세를 보여 2016년 공연의 평균 연주자 수는 21.3명에 달하였다. 사회자는 음악에 대해 전문 지식을 가진 음악가가 사회 진행하는 것을 선호하였다. 연주곡의 경우 3번 이상 연주된 곡들에서는 낭만시대 작품이, 전체 프로그램에서는 현대 작품이 가장 많이 연주되었다. 낭만/현대 작품이 전체의 91%에 해당하는 결과를 보이는데 이는 피아노 앙상블의 발달과 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 보인다. 연주곡의 장르는 표제음악을 선호하며 연주 편성은 인원별로 2중주>4중주>3중주의 순서로, 매체별로는 피아노 앙상블>실내악>성악>국악이다. 세계초연곡이 전체의 10%, 편곡 작품이 45%, 한국 작/편곡자의 작품이 17%를 차지한다. 출연한 연주자 수는 538명, 중복 인원을 제외하면 164 명이고 2회 이상 출연한 연주자가 59%이다. 연주자의 전공은 피아노가 73%, 이후로 바이올린, 첼로, 성악이 뒤따르며 이들의 학위 수준은 모두 석사 및 전문사 이상으로 박사, 박사 수료, 최고연주자의 경우가 76%이며 한국을 제외한 12개국에서 학사 이상의 학위를 받은 연주자가 95%이다. 공연 장소는 예술의전당에서 61%로 가장 많이 공연하였고 한국에서의 공연이 90%이다. 피아노 앙상블만 따로 비교 분석한 부분에 있어 결과는 선행논문의 결과와 비슷하였다. 2005년부터 2016년까지 [The Pianissimo 음악예술학회]는 연주 횟수와 연주자 수의 증가, 창작곡과 한국 작/편곡자 작품의 초연과 재연을 통한 레퍼토리 확장, 우수한 인재들의 모임, 국내 최고의 연주장에서의 높은 공연 비율 등으로 대한민국 실내악 장르의 발달과 활성화에 중요한 역할을 해왔다. 앞으로도 지금까지 추구해온 목표와 이념에 걸맞게 국제적인 활동의 영역을 넓힐 것을 제안한다.
