동북아 시대 한국인의 자아 변화 = Transformation of Koreans’Ego in the Age of Northeast Asia

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 동북아 시대 한국인의 자아를 민주주의와 민주적 자아라는 관점에서 연구한 글로서 동북아 공동체 논의에‘사회세계’민주주의와 ‘타자’로서의 민주적 자아가 전제될 것을 주장한다. 그러기 위해서 한국에서의 민주주의와 자아 정체성 담론은 영토성 개념 또는 수목질서에 정초된 민족국가 및 개인의 주권적 주관이 소거되어 있고, 민족적 문화적 차이들을 수렴할 수 있는 실천적인 사회세계 민주주의와 변환적 자아로 변화될 필요가 있다. 특히 한국인의 자아는 주변적이지만 역동적인 재만 조선족의 ‘타자’ 정체성을 귀감으로 실천적이며 그로써 창의적일 수 있는 변환적 자아로 변화될 필요가 있다. 사회세계 민주주의와 타자의 변환적 자아는 ‘가능성의 민주주의,’ ‘가능성의 자아’로서 인식 주관 또는 가치 존재의 주권적 중심으로 환원될 수 없는 실천적이며 해석적인‘변환적 보편성’으로 설명될 수 있다. 정체성 담론과 실천의 관계는 언어와 실천의 관계로서 수사학과 해석학을 융합하는 언어의 소통 문제이다. 공적 영역의 최소화를 의도하는 절차 민주주의 담론 아래 언어적으로 전환된 민주주의와 자아 정체성 담론은 사유화된 기제, 조직으로 침전된 절차주의, 관료주의, 지역주의의 권력 담론으로 응집되고 있다. 민주주의와 민주적 자아의 변환성 문제는 권력 담론으로 침전되어 기득화된 한국에서의 민주주의와 한국인의 자아 정체성에 역동성과 활력을 불어넣는 재조형 과제이다. 한국인의 자아 재조형 과제는 동북아 공동체 논의에서 민족국가, 민족주의, 그리고 지역주의의 정체성 담론에 응집 되어 기득화된 주권적인 권력 담론으로부터 동북아 공동체를 가능성의 공적 사회세계로서 재 조형 하는데 있다. 또한 가능성의 공적 사회세계는 지역주의 정체성 담론에 한정되지 않은 ‘세계민주주의의 가능성’이며 그것은 실천적이며 협의적인 전 지구적 ‘공생 세계의 가능성’이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper is a study on the Koreans’ego in the age of Northeast Asia from the perspective of democracy and democratic self identity. It’s argument on democracy and democratic self identity presupposes public social world(mitwelt) and the other’s self transformation in the discourse of Northeast Asian Community. For this end, both discourses on Korean democracy and Koreans’self identity need to be transversal instead of territorial identity of the sovereign subject grounded in nationalism, liberal individualism, and regionalism. In specific, Koreans’self identity need to be transformed reflexively in accordance with the other, marginalalized but dynamic ‘Joseon-Jok(朝鮮族)’living in the Northeast region of China(Manchuria). As the transversal self identity means the possibility of democratic self which is yet to come, so the possible democratic self can be explained by the interpretive linguistics of hermeneutics, which converges sovereign subject of epistemology or being with the practices of transversal-universal communication. Requiring minimal public space, the increasing institutional and organizational power in Korean politics congeals into the privileged forms of privatized procedure and bureaucracy under the discourse of procedural democracy. In consequence, the problem of transversality in Korean Politics raises a task to reconfigure procedural democracy and self identity within the public social world which is yet to come. In the same vein, reconfiguration of the privileged sovereign power in the discourses of Northeast Asian Community signifies a task to reconfigure the discourses of nation state, nationalism, and regionalism in the possible public space of global social world. It’s possible public social world means possibility of world democracy beyond territorial, historical, and regional identity. It is also a possibility of dialogical global community achieving common prosperity of world economy and common responsibility.
