      This article was written to consider the textuality of the curriculum and the teaching-learning process of education in schooling on the basis of the hermeneutical viewpoint. To do this, especially, I inquired the hermeneutical connection between education and interpretation, focussing on ``curriculum phenomenon`` which means the meaningfulness between the textuality of curriculum and the formation of subject as social actor or the correlation between curriculum knowledge and the consciousness of teacher and learner. Hermeneutics was defined as (1) an art or practice that related discourse and understanding, (2) the proper method for the human and social science, (3) and a theory which illuminates the conditions of possibility of understanding. Methodologically, the hermeneutical approach to the Reconceptualists` study of curriculum theory and practice has an important role to reconceptualize the meaning of the process of education as an educational growth and self-realization. And with the approach, we can get a deep understanding on contemporary curriculum discourses. As a conclusion, in terms of hermeneutical approach, curriculum is a text that has the meanings as historical and social context. And the process of education, including teaching-learning process/activities, is a textual interpretation as a dialogue and conversation between text and reader on the basis of hermeneutical point of view. The hermeneutical reconceptualizing of the process of education establishes the educational and substantial understandings on the essence of education and curriculum for humanization of schooling.
