The purpose of this paper is to prove that the symbolic-adverbs has no predicativeness. An item having the predicativeness in a sentence should possess its argument structure and include a feature of ‘aspect’. It could not be identified as a predicate category. Especially, the symbolic-adverb adds the meaning of ‘a manner’ to a ‘predicate’, not sequentially but simultaneously; it plays different roles from the serial verbs which concatenate events sequentially or from the other adverbs which express the state of results of a predicate in the point of ‘aspect’.
