한국사회과교육학의 학문적 태동의 요인과 기제 = 한국사회과교육연구학회 태동을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국사회과교육학의 학문적 태동은 거시적 관점에서의 구조와 미시적 관점에서의 인물의 관계 맺기를 통해 설명할 수 있다. 당시 교육 원조를 지원했던 미국의 주도세력과 교육의 순기능적 견지에서 근대화 중심의 국가발전을 갈망했던 동조세력에 의해 한국의 교육은 성립되고 방향이 결정되었다고 볼 수 있다. 그러나 세부 상황을 맥락적으로 탐색해보면 이러한 상호작용의 구조를 기계론적인 투입과 산출로 설명하는 것은 충분하지 않다. 당시 미국은 교육 원조로 문교부를 비롯한 산하 기관에 막강한 영향력을 행사할 수 있었다. 그러나 이러한 영향력 행사는 일방적인 것이 아니며, 한국 내부에서 발전론적 시각을 갖고 있었던 다양한 개인과 집단의 주체적 수용이 있었기에 가능하였다. 한국사회과교육학의 태동은 단순한 미국교과교육학의 일방적 이식이 아니며 교육 원조 당시의 외부 세력과 한국사회과교육 지도세력의 변증법적 절차와 산출물로 이해할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Korean Social Studies Education in terms of academic quicken can be described through the macroscopic structure and microscopic point of view. Korean’s education establishment was driven by the American-led forces who support aid to education and modernization-agreement forces longing for Korean development. But, looking at the details in the contextual exploring of the situation, the structure of these interactions can’t be explained by mechanistic input and output. U.S. at the time, supporting the massive educational aid was able to exert a powerful influence . However, Korean social studies’s quickening is not the one-sided, but output of interactivity between both forces, and it was internally subject acceptance of diverse forces longing for developing in South Korea. Social Studies Quickening is not unilateral transplantation of American Social Studies, but it is the dialectical process and outcomes between the external forces and South Korea forces of Social Studies Education.
