한국 사회 속에서 기독교사회주의의 필요성에 관한 고찰 = A Study on the Necessity of Christian Socialism in Korean Society

Privatization of the church and greed for material things are one of the problems pointed out in the Korean church today. This must be considered in conjunction with the so-called capitalist evils of modern society. As a clue to a concrete solution, let's consider some attributes of the concepts of ‘Christianity’ and ‘socialism’. In other words, it is ‘Christian socialism’. The reason is as follows. First, the concept of socialism itself is a major historical fact that was developed both domestically and internationally in the 20th century. In particular, socialist ideology and political ideology acted as one of the main causes of the division of the Korean race. It is clear that socialism is a historical material in the modern history of Korea. In addition, it is because of the expectation that some elements of socialism can give positive help in overcoming the crisis reality in the current Korean church. Ultimately, this assumption focuses on the concept of the so-called ‘Christian Socialism’, a link of Christianity and socialism.
