This study analyse the social meaning of the part time jobs of arbeit which a lot of youth are doing or want to do nowadays, especially in connection with the change of the post-modern life style for youth. The existence of youth turn up through separating form the manual labor. Instead of exemption from lost social responsibilities and on) and have to submit tamely to adult`s guidances. With the appearance of a knowledge-based society, the existence for youth is rapidly changing. They want to do work, participate in social decision-making and have human rights, which are reserved to youth in modem society. This changing existence of youth is related with a changing life-style. In our post-industrial society, we have a life-style which is focused economic efficiency. In life-long learning societies, learning is connected with work and leisure. Work is learning. So youth want to learn through work and work to get money. This change has influenced the youth life-style. Youths attempt to change to a life-style with self-development from a life-style with economic efficiency.
