세계주의 모더니즘을 적용한 현대 패션디자인 연구 Ⅱ - 세계주의 모더니즘을 영감으로 한 패션컬렉션 라인 개발을 중심으로 -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study is to develop a fashion collection line inspired by cosmopolitan modernism. The research is divided into two sections, of which this paper is the second, also known as research II. The research questions to achieve the aim of the paper are as follows. First, what is the educational purpose of Bauhaus, and how can we define cosmopolitan modernism? Second, what are the formative characteristics of cosmopolitan modernism from the analysis of design theory in Bauhaus? Third, how is the concept of cosmopolitan modernism reflected in the design process of the researcher? This research involves use of the methods of literature review and content analysis to develop a fashion line consisting of eight clothing items. The author lays the foundation for the research by identifying the characteristics of cosmopolitan modernism through an analysis of books about Bauhaus. Finally, the researcher uses the results of the analysis as a source of design inspiration and draws a collection line consisting of three men’s clothing items and five women’s clothing items. In conclusion, cosmopolitan modernism represents the principle of contemporary design style in its realization of the process of functionalization for the universalization and mass production of art by modularizing the object and fusing the artistry of colors and materials through the individual’s conceptual approach. Thus, the researcher deconstructs and reconstructs the characteristics of cosmopolitan modernism and expresses reinterpretation of the conceptual approach to objects based on his own ideas and the functionalization process in a fashion line that consists of eight clothing items resulting from this study.
