휠체어 디자인을 위한 기초 연구 = A Fundamental Study For Designing The Wheelchair

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

For all physically handicapped persons a free moving-right is the first condition that can get self-confidence by themselves and realize their will through the positive outdoor activity. To make pleasant environment that the handicapped can work together in as a member for a healthful society with normal men is an essential condition to realize the right of pursuit of happiness that is being emphasized in the human right for the handicapped.For the handicapped the wheelchair is a indispensable tool in their lives. Then, It has to be satisfied their psychological desires with the convenient function and differential sense in using it. Especially, contrary to other product groups wheelchair is a product that has some difficulties in distinguishing from similar products because the visual character is decided by its structural form. To offer most suitable design we should confirm what the basic conditions are included in, and grope for effective methods to realize the morphologic distinction based on rationally functional condition.Then, this thesis has set up the basic aim in functional and morphologic aspects as fundamental conditions for designing the wheelchair, and arranged functional conditions after analyzing them as the important factors for the morphologic distinction in order to approach to the realistic wheelchair design effectively, finally proposed foundations that can be used as basic data for doing it.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

지체 장애인에게 자유로운 이동권은 적극적인 옥외 활동을 통해 자신감을 갖고 스스로를 실현시키기 위한 첫 번째 조건이다. 비장애인들과 건강한 사회의 한 구성원으로 함께 할 수 있는 쾌적한 환경을 조성하는 것은 장애인 인권현장에서 강조하고 있는 장애인의 행복 추구권의 실현을 위한 필수 조건이다. 휠체어는 이동이 어려운 장애인들에게는 신체의 일부와 같은 필수적 생활 도구이다. 때문에 사용하기에 편리한 기능성은 물론 차별화 된 조형 감각으로 그들의 심리적 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있어야 한다. 특히 휠체어는 다른 제품과는 달리 구조적 형태가 제품의 시각적 특징을 결정짓는 제품이기 때문에 조형적 차별화의 어려움이 있는 디자인 대상이다. 최적한 디자인을 제공하기 위해서는 디자인을 위한 기초 조건들은 무엇인가를 확인하고 합리적인 기능 조건의 토대 위에서 조형적 차별화를 구현하기 위한 효과적 방법이 모색 되어야 할 것이다.본 연구는 디자인을 위한 기초 조건으로 기능적 측면과 조형적 측면에서의 기본 방향을 설정하고 중요 요소별 기능조건 등을 분석, 정리하여 휠체어 디자인을 위한 기초 자료로 활용 할 수 있는 근거를 제시하였다.
