Yudeung Bridge, which connects Seo-gu and Jung-gu in Daejeon Metropolitan City, was completed in December 1970. On July 10, 2024, due to heavy rain in the Daejeon area, the bridge piers sank. As a result of an emergency detailed safety inspection, it was concluded that reconstruction was inevitable, and accordingly, the construction of a bypass bridge was carried out as an emergency disaster recovery bid. The D.T.G. (Double Tension Girder) method, which enables long-span construction using strands and anchoring devices, was selected, considering safety, constructability, and especially urgency. The Yudeung temporary bridge (L=173m, B=18.0~32.0m, separated for up and down lanes) was opened in February 2025, 81 days after construction began. The purpose of this study is to examine the safety and constructability of temporary structures through analysis of design and construction cases of long-span temporary bridges.
