부모 교육열과 양육 스트레스의 관계 및 가족 사회자본의 매개적 역할: 신화와 경험적 실재 = The relationship between parental educational enthusiasm and parenting stress, and the mediating role of family social capital: Myths and empirical realities

국문 초록 (Abstract)

교육열은 자녀교육에 대한 부정적인 상징으로 부모에게 스트레스를 주며, 인구 감소의 시기에 저출산의 원인으로 비난받고 있다. 그러나 부모 교육열은 에릭슨이 제시하는 성인 부모의 발달과업인 생성력에 해당되며 가족 간 사회관계 및 사회자본 형성을 위한 투자로 작용할 수 있다. 또한 양육 스트레스는 자녀양육에서 도피하려는 것이 아닌 도움을 유도하려는 배려-친교 반응일 수 있다. 본 연구의 목표는 이러한 교육열과 양육 스트레스에 대한 새로운 관점에서 한국아동패널의 맞벌이 가구자료를 활용하여 부모 교육열과 양육 스트레스의 관계 및 이 관계에서 가족 사회자본의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 연구방법으로 다층분석을 활용하기 위해 병행척도를 구성하며, SUR 모델을 적용한다. 주요한 연구결과를 보면, 부모 교육열은 가족 사회자본 형성을 매개로 양육 스트레스를 유의미하게 줄인다. 부모의 양육 스트레스는 부・모・자 간 관계가 단절된 가족 사회자본 유형에서 높으나 부모의 교육열은 이러한 유형의 가족 사회자본 형성 가능성을 낮춘다. 이러한 결과는 부정적 관점에서 부모 교육열과 양육 스트레스 및 양자 간 관계에 대한 신화적 맹신에 대해 새로운 관점에서 경험적 실재를 제시한다.
